Today I Saw was a daily drawing project which I started way back in June 2009. The idea was to get back into sending post as I'd become rather a custom to the use of digital communication. I wanted to keep my snail mail hobby and I wanted to draw on a regular basis. It started off that I would just draw the thing that stood out to me most that day. It could be my lunch or it might be a man shouting at his dog. I would feel pretty bad sending a drawing of something unpleasant to my friends, so after a little while I would only draw nice things.
For the first 6 months or so I sent postcards to my friends and family. But when my Mum had about twelve postcards I realised I'd better start sending them to other people too. So I began to send them to bloggers I like; Joana of Cup of Jo, Margie of Resurrection Fern, Laura of Wren Handmade to name a few. Then I suggested that Today I Saw readers provide their addresses for postcards, afterall, I knew they of all people would appreciate them.
If you are interested in recieving a Today I Saw postcard the please wait until I request addresses on this blog. I do this every month or so. Unfortumately there isn't a list which I can add your name to. I just request addresses every month or so and it's done on a first come first serve basis. I appreciate your patience.
The blog has now developed and also features my other creative projects including craft projects, items for my shop, and drawings from sketchbooks.
Today I Saw has appeared in
