A little weaving

I hope you are having a good week. I'm sorry there haven't been any postcards. It's the first week of school and so I've been busy. At the weekend I made a little card for a friend by weaving onto paper. The photos don't really show it, but it looked very fine and delicate, which I was pleased with. When I was at university doing textiles I was TERRIBLE at weaving. The teacher had to put me on a special computerized machine because I just couldn't get the hang of it! So it was fun to go back to weaving and actually achieve something I was pleased with. Even if it was only for a few hours : )

Thanks for stopping by and also for your really kind comments this week, especially about the painted shells. x x

  1. oh what a gorgeous card (and weaving of course) it is ! I would like to try my hand at weaving too. Just need a couple of extra hours each day LOL
I love the loose weave btw. Gorgeous !

  2. That is really sweet and effective. I really love those metallics going through it. I just realized with you teaching it will be harder to sneak up for a visit while my children are in school :(
My loss is the childrens gain though so I'm extra happy for them.
Hope your first week is going really well.

  3. This is really beautiful! Hand-made cards are always special.
