Today I Saw has returned!
Hello friends! How have you been? I've missed you! It's been over two months since I last did a Today I Saw postcard and over that time I have to say, I've missed it. I've missed the daily drawings , sending things in the post, the little comments people write, but most of all I've missed documenting the funny little things I see each day and knowing that people all over the world are seeing them.
Over the past few months lots of my friends have suggested that I continue the project and I've thought a lot about it and decided that I will. I'm going to be really busy over the next year - studying to become a teacher is apparently hardcore, but hey, maybe doing Today I Saw each day will help to keep me sane! I'll just have to take a break when things get super busy.
I'll start on Monday. So if you'd like to email me your addresses I'll make a note of the first 30 I receive. Write TODAY I SAW in the subject and write your name and then address in the email. I'm really happy that I'm starting Today I Saw again!

Dear Jill,
ReplyDeleteSo good that you are back! The past 5 weeks Daan (www.maandagdaandag.blogspot.com) and I (www.roosrustenregelmaat.blogspot.com) have started a Dutch version called "This Week I Saw". Each Friday we draw something remarkable of the past week, post it online and send e/o the drawing. Quite a few Dutch bloggers have picked up the initiative. We're having a lot of fun! And all thanks to your wonderful idea. I would love to be part of your continued project so'll email you right away ;-)
Best wishes, Roos from Amsterdam

Hello Jill, what a most extraordinary piece of news, welcome back! You have inspired me to look for something remarkable each day myself, which I register in my notebook , and I agree with you, it's a wonderful way to keep one sane! Will look forward to your daily pieces of sunshine! Still keep the card you sent me :) Adriana from Brazil xx
ReplyDeleteI am very excited by this, as I only found out about Today I saw on your v.ery last Day, and was sad.
ReplyDeleteTeacher training is very, very hard work, but you'll have time to do a wee drawing every day (except maybe when you are on placement, when you won't have time to eat or sleep, never mind draw anything). Also, it's good fun and rewarding, so it makes that hard work worth it!
Thank you everyone! so nice to have a warm welcome back!
ReplyDeleteLisa-Marie, I know I'm really nervous about just how hard the course will be! Oh well, we'll just see.... :)
Happy news! I'll surely keep watching :)
ReplyDeleteIs it greedy to be hoping that I might add a second postcard to my collection?
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the teacher training, it is indeed pretty full on, but drawing could certainly help keep you sane. And kids will show you the funniest things...
it makes me so happy!!! welcome back!! -i don't use to comment, but i follow you like a squirrel :)-
ReplyDeleteHi Jill, I'm a great fan of you!
ReplyDeleteI joined the Dutch group This week I saw!
it's a fun thing to do and it keeps me alert!
Welcome back! Participating in the Flickr group was fun but nothing beats your postcards!
