Mermaids Purse - my new shop
I'm really excited to tell you all about my newest project. Mermaids Purse is my first online shop. This is a project I have spent months working towards. You may know my drawings but not my craft work. My inspiration is nature I see on walks, daytrips and holidays here in the British Isles. Whether I collect shells and pebbles from a sunny beach or moss and heather from misty moors it is always these little findings which inspire me. I will be creating themed collections of small accessories every two months.
My first collection is called Summers End. It’s a collection about seeing the crisp, orange leaves on the ground at this time of year and thinking of the fun summer gently coming to an end. Walks along beaches, swims in lakes, sunsets and picnics have all been turned into hair pieces, necklaces, brooches and ornaments. Some of which you can see above and you can see more photos here.
